New York writer Grace (Jennifer Lawrence) moves with her partner Jackson (Robert Pattinson) to a remote country house so she can better focus on writing and their life together. The romance flourishes and vinyl records spin. Their first child is born. Grace is left alone with the baby boy while Jackson travels for vague work. Slowly, life begins to fall apart.
