STATIC CHANNEL LIVE A/V PERFORMANCE (free entry)

STATIC CHANNEL LIVE A/V PERFORMANCE is an audiovisual experience by Canadian duo Static Channel, where live music and visuals meet in an immersive experience taking full advantage of Cinema Sheryl’s surround sound system and 4K laser projector.
Composed of new media artist and synthesist Monika Hauck and electronic producer and bass guitarist Alex Iso, the duo draws from ambient, electronic, and experimental influences. 

During the performance, MUSICOTAS—a consortium of the University of Jyväskylä and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd—will conduct scientific research on the concert experience using pre-selected volunteers who will wear sensors to measure their responses to the performance.

The concert is recorded in video for promotional and research purposes by the band and MUSICOTAS research project (Jyväskylä University and VTT,https://www.jyu.fi/en/projects/musicotas-2025-2029, funded by Academy of Finland).  A section of the seating area is outside the video recording zone.
