A Nightmare on Elm Street

Nancy  and her friends  are plagued by nightmares of Freddy Krueger, a disfigured killer who stalks his victims in their sleep. When they realise that the injuries they sustain in their dreams have deadly consequences in the real world, Nancy must find a way to stop Freddy before he kills them all. Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) reimagines the slasher film through its surreal dream sequences and inventive approach to horror, blurring the line between dreams and reality. Introducing one of the genre’s most enduring villains, it remains a defining entry in ’80s horror.
